OPS MFL NEWS MFL day was a great success. Pupils came dressed up in a variety of costumes. We had Poirot, Inspector Clueso, French, Spanish and German Footballers, Spanish Dancers, Frogs and many other fantastic outfits.Spanish Dancing took place at breaktime with Mrs Ford and Mrs Crisp teaching many senoritas. The moves were very impressive - as were the outfits! The French Cafe went down a storm. Year 6 spoke excellent cafe French while the teachers enjoyed their breaktime coffee and patisserie, discussing art, philosophy and the big things in life. Several pupils attempted the challenging Euro-quiz. Francis Perumatantri was the winner. The Inter-house boules competition was a fiercely fought contest. All year groups and all houses were represented and the children played with serious determination and fun! Congratulations to the Green Dragons for winning! At lunchtime, pupils sampled the delights of Paella, Coq-au-vin, snails, frogs legs and a grand selection of cheese served in style by Mr Matthews and Mr Rawson. Other pupils managed to dodge the rain to complete the treasure hunt following the French instructions to find the frogs hidden all around the school campus. Voting was close on 'which teacher spoke the most MFL' and Mr King, Mr Howard, Mr Matthews and Mrs Butler all won a prize! Photos will be posted on the MFL website after the Long Weekend. Well done to all who took part, dressed up and tried to speak an MFL!
